The big flat torque curve made it easy to go fast, but it all felt and sounded a bit linear. And it wasn't very efficient: just running the supercharger sapped 100bhp. Stop worrying anyway, the project's been in safe hands of AMG's Powertrain Director, Bernd Ramler. His last job was designing the engine for the Porsche Carrera GT.

The most significant improvements have been carried out under the skin. They’ve given it a drive-by-wire throttle and the option of Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Honda’s version of ESP.

The car has standard four-wheel drive quattro. This system uses a Lamborghini-derived Visco clutch instead of Audi's quattro system used. The chassis is constructed of aluminum called Audi Space Frame (ASF). Also, the R8 Audi Magnetic Ride, an adaptive shock absorber system.

Because the brand Audi AG owns Lamborghini, the R8 15% of the parts in common with that of the Lamborghini Gallardo, including the optional R-tronic transmission.

The Audi R8 has a 4.2-liter V8 FSI engine-420 hp and 430 Nm delivers and also used in the Audi RS4 B7. The V8 has 4 valves per cylinder which are operated by two double overhead camshafts with variable valve timing.

This is a brand new 2008 Green Lamborghini Gallardo spyder convertible. This is one of the coolest sports cars know to man. How incredible is this green. The green reminds me of a granny smith apple. Anyone who loves exotic cars must want to get one of these babies.
